Base Set
Ten years after DS9 hit the airwaves, this card set takes collectors through a look back at all 176 episodes of DS9. Each episode gets a card in this 189 card base set. Two crew murals flesh out this comprehensive card set. As with Complete Voyager, the beginning of each season features one card showing the crew from that season. Many collectors were pleased to note that RA went back to the one image per front of the card, Some collectors missed the montage style as they felt it gave better episode coverage, which proves the old adage that sometimes you just can’t win.
Inserts
- Ships of the Dominion- a 9-card foil set and a 27 card Allies and Enemies set. This set features many of the recurring characters from all seasons of DS9. Allies are shown with a blue background and enemies, red.
- The 7-card Alternate Realities set includes the main cast members as the alternate/mirror personalities.
- There are 5 costume cards, most with a variation. The Odo card is a binder exclusive.
- Each box netted two of a total of 25 autographs. The Autograph list included a new first signer, Colm Meaney, an autograph most collectors had been awaiting for years. There are two dual-autographs. One was a case topper of March and Walsh as the Duras sisters. The other was Dorn and Farrell in their wedding costumes. Several cards are listed as *limited*, between 300-500 and include Brooks, Meaney, Dorn, Visitor, Auberjonis, Siddig, Farrell, Combs, DeBoer, Todd and the Dual Signed Dorn and Farrell. A18 James Darren will not be included as an autograph signer. A26 Barry Jenner was added late to take his place. There is no A25.
From Rittenhouse’s forums: Almost all of the major stars of the show will be signing half as many autographs as the rest. The only two non-regular cast members that will also be limited are James Darren and Jeffrey Combs. The dual-autograph card from Michael Dorn and Terry Farrell will also be limited.
Autograph Variations
- Tony Todd signed some of his autograph cards with a symbol of a star and some without.
- Lawrence Monson signed in gold, perhaps as a convention signed card.
From Rittenhouse’s Forums: As a person who broke many cases, I can tell you that for every 5 Tony Todd autos, one of them had a star on it. And every Alexander Siddig auto had a different marking under his autograph.
